Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is lactoferrin?

Lactoferrin, a protein found in cow and human milk, has been discovered through our research at SARAYA as having remarkable anti-aging effects. Deeply connected with life, it can be found naturally in places in contact with our environment, such as tears and nasal mucosa, protecting us from external stimuli. On humans it is especially present in the first milk, or colostrum, in order to protect the baby's low resistance at birth, one of the reasons why babies drinking breast milk are harder to get sick. Because of this, research about its use in health and beauty is progressing rapidly in recent years. It is expected to be a key ingredient that solves age-specific skin problems.

  • What is the Safe Motherhood Project?

Around the world, about 830 women die every day due to pregnancy, childbirth and abortion. 99% of these deaths are in developing countries. For example, the death rate of pregnant women in Uganda is 69 times that of Japan, a stat that impulsed SARAYA, who has the desire to save as many lives as possible, to begin activities to help pregnant women in that country. Through the White Ribbon Movement of JOICFP, an international NGO, we learned that Ugandan pregnant women in East Africa often die of infectious diseases, many by unsanitary environments, such as postpartum sepsis. Therefore, Saraya started the "SARAYA Safe Motherhood" Project in 2018. Part of the sales of Lactoferrin Lab products go to the "SARAYA Safe Motherhood" Project, which delivers hand sanitizers to local clinics, providing pregnant mothers and other patients the care they need.
