What is Lakanto?
Japan's first zero-calorie sweetener is made from two plant-derived ingredients: high-purity extract derived from the cucurbit plant, often called monk fruit or Luo Han Guo, and erythritol, a sweetening ingredient produced from the fermentation of corn-derived glucose. Lakanto was born in 1995 as a plant-derived sweetener that delivers health through natural sweetness, and this year it celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Today, the brand has spread to reach a wide range of people, including those who have no choice but to restrict sugar intake, as well as those who are interested in dieting and maintaining their daily health, and who enjoy a personalized diet tailored to their lifestyles. It is sold not only in Japan but also in 24 countries and regions.
